To all our loyal customers that have stuck by us over many years and especially the last 7 or 8 months.
We have been supplying Johnsons Window Films since 1999 and Johnsons Laminating Inc. have been manufacturing film since 1961 as a family business which continues to this day.
The future is very positive given that Scott Davidson, the owner of Johnsons, has just invested hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars to completely rebuild their laminating factory in Carson California with the very latest state of the art technology. This will see Johnsons Laminating stay at the top of the industry standards for the next 20 years or more.
The rebuild has created some supply problems but is up and running again and Scott has said excitedly “we are making the best film we have ever made!”
We have had major challenges over the last 6 months with wharf strikes in the U.S. however we have maintained supply to you by airfreighting film in at a loss to try to keep up to your needs. The biggest hurdle we have faced is the fall of the Australian dollar which is over 20% lower than this time last year. To date we have kept prices the same hoping the Aussie dollar would come back with no joy as yet (I am ever the optimist) !
